Lithium Polymer Battery is known by several names, most commonly as a Lipo, LiPo, LIP, Li-poly, Li Polymer and lithium-poly, but more appropriately as a lithium-ion polymer battery, or pouch cell.

Spard has hundreds of lipo models to fit for different size demands and many types of performance to suit different applications.

  • High rate discharge type: up to 100C discharge rate, suitable for remote control models, car jump start and others;
  • Solid-state type: ultra-high energy density, up to 280Wh/kg, suitable for drones, wearable devices, etc.;
  • Low temperature type: can work normally at minus 40 degrees, suitable for power communication equipment, railway sensors, etc.

Drones

Lithium polymer (LiPo) batteries are the most common battery used for drones because they offer the advantage of high energy density in relation to their size and weight, with a higher voltage per cell, so they can power the drone’s on-board systems with fewer cells than other rechargeables. Spard offers steady high discharge rate lipo batteries for drone and also customize BMS according to your needs.

Medical Devices

Medical device batteries play an important role in modern healthcare. Spard batteries power devices that enable patients to function more normally by managing and improving their health and even surviving life-threatening disease conditions.

Jump Starter

When the car cannot start normally due to power loss, no power or other reasons, we can use the jump starter to help the car start. In this way, there is no need to find someone to borrow the car as the main car to help start the ignition, which is very convenient. The discharge rate of the Spard lithium polymer battery is high enough to meet the needs of emergency starting of the car.

There are many types of lithium polymer single cells. Each type has its own special performances, and each application needs to choose the appropriate cell type first. No one type is suitable for all applications. For example, jump starter batteries require huge high-rate discharge; drone batteries need high energy density, etc.

In addition to the performance selection of the battery cell, it is also necessary to select a battery cell with an appropriate size according to the maximum battery space that each application can provide.

Battery Management System

Battery Management System (BMS) is mainly an integrated circuit board that protects lithium batteries because the material of the lithium battery itself determines that it cannot be overcharged, over-discharged, over-current, short-circuited and ultra-high temperature charging and discharging.

The three basic functions of BMS are short-circuit protection, overcharge protection and over-discharge protection. The optional functions could be balance function, communication function etc. Spard has hardware and software BMS for choice. The common BMS models are as below. Assemble Your Battery Packs

After selecting the correct single cell and suitable BMS, the assembly of the lithium polymer battery pack also needs to consider some other details, such as charging wire & plug, discharging wire & plug, whether the battery pack needs color labels, whether the battery pack needs a housing, and whether the outer packaging is color carton, etc.

After the lithium polymer battery pack is assembled, it needs to go through a sample test and a trial test before it can be officially finalized. Before placing a bulk order, we will assist you to obtain all necessary certificates as follows:
